| Intervju: Intervju om Umeås skatepark |

Skateparken SPARKEN i Umeå byggs för fullt och har nu besök av New Line Skateparks som hjälper NCC med böjar och banks m.m. Ida Östensson, projektledare för SPARKEN, har gjort en intervju med Nick Dion (bror till Kyle Dion som grundat New Line Skateparks).

Under förra veckan och början av denna har de gjutit färdigt bowlen och har även gjutit alla banks längst med älven. Umeå har även besök av ett gäng från NCC Gävle som byggde Gävle Plazan och Växjös nya skatepark, så nu går det fort!

| How is everything going?
Everything is going really great. Better than expected, we are further ahead than i had originally planned.
How long have you and your guys been in Sweden and in Umeå?
We got to Sweden on July 28th and got to Umea on August 18th.
And how long are you going to stay?
I'm planing on leaving Sweden on October 5th,but, it depends on how the rest of this project goes.
So what do you think of Sweden so far?
I think Sweden is a very nice country i find it to be alot like Canada. The people here are very nice and easy to work with. No complaints.
What have you done since you got here? Skated some nice spots maybe?
We've spent most of our time working so far, but, we found some great full pipes in Vaxjo that were great, we skated some good stuff in Stockholm and the log shoot here is really fun stuff like that in Canada are hard to come by.
You came directly from Växjö where you built there new park. Are you happy about the result over there?
Yes. The Vaxjo park turned out great just like every Newline park. I was really happy because Vaxjo came together alot faster than we thought it would and allowed us to get to Umea sooner.
When do you think the park in Umeå is finished and ready to skate?
I think this park will be done by October 10th and skateable when NCC is done the rest of the tie in work.
Has everything worked out like you planned?
Yes.The crew here is really easy to get along with.We are going to get alot of work done in the next couple of weeks so we'll see how good my plan works.
What is special with SPARKEN?
The most special thing about Sparken is how closely involved the design team here was involved in the design team in Canada. I think its great how hard everybody here works and cares about this project.
Is the park like anyone else that you have built in the past?
Not really. Most parks we build are unique.
How many parks have New Line been building since the company started?
We are getting close to 100 or maybe even passed that I'm not totally sure.It's alot.I might have to check my website.
Is there anything else that you want to say?
I would just like to say i'm glad this community pick us to design and build your park. I believe we are the leading skatepark company in the world and your park is going to be the leading design and build in Sweden. Thank you!
